With 12 months in French and American oak and meticulous winemaking including manual pigeage, this wine offers exceptional quality and complexity at an outstanding price point.. Meet the Producer. Mendel Wines blends the expertise of Roberto de la Mota, one of Argentina's most respected winemakers, with the tradition of a well-established Argentine family, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Luján de Cuyo and Agrelo with precision and elegance.. Production. Hand-harvested grapes are sorted and 100% destemmed, with manual berry selection. Fermentation and maceration take place in a combination of concrete and 80-hectolitre tanks, with daily manual pigeage for around two weeks. The wine then spends 12 months ageing in new and used American and French oak, with minimal filtration before bottling.. Tasting Notes. Deep, rich ruby in colour, the nose reveals aromas of red berries, violets, herbs, and subtle spice.
