Crafted by Figli Luigi Oddero, this impressive single-vineyard bottling originates from Rocche Rivera, a historic plot planted in the early 1990s within the Scarrone vineyard. Positioned above Roagna’s Pira, its sandy limestone and clay soils paired with an east-facing exposure favour exceptional freshness, precision, and longevity.. Why You'll Love It. Driven by luminous ruby fruit, red cherry stones, and fresh raspberry, it combines intense concentration with a distinct core of crushed stone and saline minerality. Aged for 24 months in large, used oak casks, its firm tannins and sweeping beams of fresh acidity make it an extraordinary candidate for laying down over the medium to long term.. Vineyard & Production. The grapes are harvested from the unique Rocche Rivera parcel within the Scarrone cru, sitting on poor soils composed of sandy limestone with subtle clay. The east-facing orientation ensures balanced, even ripening while maintaining optimal freshness. Following temperature-controlled fermentation in the cellar, the wine matures for 24 months in large traditional neutral oak casks to preserve its intense fruit purity, terroir definition, and architectural tannin structure without over-oaking.. Tasting Notes. In the glass, it reveals a luminous ruby colour. The nose opens with an expressive array of red cherry stones, fresh raspberries, Cape Cod cranberry mix, and sweet mulled spice, interwoven with cinnamon stick, crushed rock, and a hint of savoury oak. On the palate, it is taut, concentrated, and intense, delivering a dense fruit core clasped by firm, powdery tannins and a vibrant line of slicing acidity.
