"From the cooler, shadowed parts of the vineyard. 2022 was a tough year to produce Kabinett. Apple juice. Delicate and lovely with a touch of cinnamon syrup. Not complex, but ready to simply enjoy right now."Tasted by Tamlyn Currin, wine writer for Jancis Robinson 16/20 A very fine, elegant and balanced Kabinett. It has a subtle fruit sweetness, is very fresh and offers pure drinking pleasure. Grapes were grown in the highest part of the Röttgen vineyard, which has 30-40 year old vines. The vineyard has VDP.GROSSE LAGE (Grand Cru) classification, which is a guarantee of quality and signifies that this dry white wine comes from the very best of German vineyards. The site is higher elevation and slightly hidden from the sun. Here, the high iron and mineral content of the soil can be seen in the rusty brown and yellow colours of the rocks. Grapes were farmed sustainable and carefully harvested by hand. The wine was fermented using natural yeast. Alcohol: 9,0 % vol. Res. sugar: 42,6 g/l Acidity: 6,9 g/l
