Hans Wirsching's Riesling Grand Cru is a complex and elegant wine, characterised by its fine fruit flavours. It has a bright bouquet of yellow fruits, such as peach. The wine features a fine Riesling acidity and a discreet yet unmistakable mineral spiciness. The Iphöfer soil, rich in sedimentary rock interspersed with keuper gypsum, contributes to the wine's power and fullness. As the vines age, the 'terroir' can be tasted, with subtle fruity notes, a spicy, herbaceous aroma and a strong, mineral flavour that lingers. This Riesling is a perfect companion to chicken, pork or lamb. It is a unisex wine, suitable for all occasions.
