Most garden saunas ask for a corner of the lawn. The Solo 205 asks for a strip 1.25 m deep — the width of a garden path — and still seats two to three people on full-length benches. That is the whole design. A conventional cabin needs a 2 m × 2 m footprint before you have sat down. By running the benches along the 2.05 m front and putting the heater in the corner, the Solo 205 fits down the side of a house, along a fence line, or on a patio that would not take anything else. The full-height bronze glass front means a shallow cabin still feels open rather than boxed in. Why thermowood matters here The body is thermowood throughout — timber kiln-treated at 180–220°C in a low-oxygen chamber. That is not a surface coating. It changes the wood itself, closing the cells so it absorbs far less moisture, which is what stops outdoor timber cupping, twisting and splitting through a British winter. No chemical preservatives are involved, and it weathers to a stable silver-brown rather than going grey and rough. 42 mm side walls, 28 mm rear. The thickness is where the heat retention comes from: a well-insulated 5 m³ room reaches temperature quickly and holds it, so a modest heater does the job and running costs stay sensible. Our Harvia Wall is black steel with a full 20 kg stone capacity for softer, steadier löyly, integrated controls and a 2-year warranty. No heater — cabin only Supply-only. Choose this if you already have a heater, or you want something we do not list. Harvia Wall 4.5 kW Rated 3–6 m³. Suits this cabin if you are on a limited electrical supply. Harvia Wall 6 kW Rated 5–8 m³ — the sensible default for a 5 m³ room with a full glass front. Harvia Wall 8 kW Rated 7–12 m³. Faster heat-up and more headroom on cold days or heavy use.
