This really could be the perfect winter whisky: a touch of smoke, sweetness from the tawny port cask - the whisky from this single cask bottling has it all. Unashamedly bold, big, smoky, sweet and perfectly in balance. This whisky opens with rich, smoky notes reminiscent of burnt ends, blending beautifully with a subtle sweetness of stewed plums and a layer of vibrant raspberry seedless jam. Then, a savoury hint of bacon frazzles and a lingering note of scorched strawberries, smoked blackberries and cola bottles. White Peak Distillery uses both unpeated and peated malt in an 80/20 ratio, which provides the light smoky character found in this single cask bottling. Very limited availability. Only 527 bottles made Cask: Tawny Port Distilled: 10/02/2020 Bottled: 24/09/2024 Strength: 55% Non-chill filtered and no caramel colouring (ever!) The Heart Cut is an independent bottler collaborating with whisky distilleries from across the world to release one-off single cask and small batch bottlings.
