Taking you on a voyage of discovery through different styles of whiskymaking, The Whiskymaker’s Editions Revelation is the first of two exclusive limited-edition single malt whiskies from The Lakes Distillery, originally made in partnership with Selfridges. Purposefully pushing the boundaries of flavour creation, it is a whisky designed with the intent to defy established conventions. Recounting a tale of exploration through an oak-led maturation philosophy, it reveals how it is possible to create a medley of tropical fruit notes through maturation and cask expertise. The 763 individually numbered bottles of Revelation are light, fresh, bright, and bursting with the character of exotic fruits and plums. Nose: a medley of geranium leaf & marzipan with juicy plums and hints of rose waterPalate: a burst of tropical fruits, fragrant rose petals and honey roasted almondsFinish: intensely fruity and gently spiced with a rounded lingering finishNon-chill filtered, Natural in colour The Whiskymaker’s Editions is a series of one-off releases showcasing the sense of adventure of The Lakes' whiskymaker. Each Edition is an exceptional diversion from The Lakes sherry-led house style; an expression of creative freedom, the product of a playground where instinct, experience and inspiration roam free. Cumbria hosts the Lakes Distillery, founded in 2011 by Paul Currie, co-founder of Isle of Arran Distillery. Situated within a renovated farmstead by River Derwent in a national park, they innovate due to limited space, using custom stills for whisky and a smaller one for Lakes Gin/Vodka. Whisky master Dhavall Ghandi joined in 2016, infusing tradition with fresh inspiration. The Lakes introduced The Whiskymaker’s Reserve in 2019, a series of single malts. Located near Penrith, it's a gem of heritage and innovation. Please note: this presentation box has some minor wear to it and is sold as seen.
