Der Ridge Monte Bello 2007 ist eine jener kalifornischen Legenden, die zeigen, dass großer Wein nicht laut sein muss. Diese Magnum-Flasche mit 1,5 Litern verstärkt das Reifepotenzial dieser außergewöhnlichen Cuvée noch einmal deutlich.Die Assemblage aus Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot und Cabernet Franc wurde mit größter Sorgfalt vinifiziert. Ridge arbeitet mit natürlicher Hefelagerung, minimalem Eingriff im Keller und moderater Holzreife. Das Ergebnis ist ein Wein, der Struktur und Finesse in perfekter Balance hält. Der Jahrgang 2007 gilt als einer der harmonischsten der letzten Dekade aus den Santa Cruz Mountains.In der Nase offenbart der Ridge Monte Bello 2007 Aromen von schwarzer Johannisbeere, Zedernholz, Graphit und einem Hauch von Tabak. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich dicht, aber niemals schwer – seidige Tannine tragen Schichten von dunklen Beeren, Gewürzen und mineralischen Noten.
