2025 Protos Verdejo
Protos is best known for their Ribera del Duero reds, but they also make excellent Verdejo in neighbouring Rueda, Spain`s premier region for the grape. The 2025 vintage is fresh off the vine, capturing all the bright, zesty character Verdejo is loved for. This is unoaked, focused purely on expressing the fruit. Citrus and green apple with white peach, subtle tropical notes and a herbal lift. Crisp and refreshing with lively acidity and a clean, mineral finish. Medium-bodied with enough texture to be interesting but light enough for easy drinking. Bone-dry in the classic Rueda style. Serve well chilled (6-8°C). Brilliant as an aperitif or with tapas, grilled fish, seafood, salads, or soft goat`s cheese. Drink young and fresh, this is about vibrancy, not aging.
