Gwyr Single Malt Welsh Whisky Triple Cask Matured
Born in the mountains, raised by the sea. Cheers Wine Merchants and The Gower Gin Company are delighted to launch the third independent bottling of Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky finished in Môr-Ladron rum casks and a CVNE Rioja barrel under the GWYR brand. The original whisky is a 4-year-old ex-bourbon cask matured single malt from Penderyns pot stills. It has been finished in larger and smaller Môr-Ladron rum casks for over 12 months and finally it has spent the final 10 months in a very special CVNE Rioja Barrel. A Single Cask Whisky which has taken on an amazing colour from the Rioja barrel along with some incredible vinous notes on the nose. The fruit of the original whisky is still evident on the palate but it is intermingled with amazing berry fruit and spice from the barrel ageing. Limited to 400 bottles - once it's gone, it's gone.
