Both spicy aromas and chocolate emerge.The flavour palette is enveloping and juicy with rich tannins .The character and presence of the grape variety fit well with the elegant profile of this wine.The Reserva das Pedras wines are produced in the old vineyards planted in 1986 on the thousand-year-old Charneca terroir. They have great respect for the heritage of these iconic vineyards, which stand where the Tejo River once flowed. The rounded stones and pebbles clearly leave their mark here. This unique terroir produces very elegant wines with a fresh profile. The harmony of the soil, climate, and plants is perfectly expressed.To accurately determine the harvest time, QdA places great importance on monitoring the maturation process, regularly taking samples from the vineyards. They evaluate and monitor various parameters beyond the essentials, with the goal of achieving the superior quality of these wines. QdA's intervention in the cellar is minimal, allowing the terroir's full potential to express itself in the most natural way. Fermentation is temperature-controlled. 70% of this Reserva das Pedras is aged for nine months in French oak barrels. The Quinta da Alorna Reserva das Pedras Alicante Bouschet product is stabilized and filtered before bottling.*Charneca One of the three terroirs in the Tejo wine region, it is a sandy soil, light textured and granular, composed of sand (70%) and clay (15%), very porous and non-water-retaining.
