0.70 ltr. 57,10%Ardbeg Corryvreckan is named after the sucking, dark force the perilous vortex between the Hebridean islands of Islay and Jura. Corryvreckan is Europe's largest and the world's second-largest one vortex and is just as' Big & Untamed "as the spirit of Ardbeg. The heart of Corryvreckan's character comes from Ardbeg spirit that slowly aged in French oak barrels until whiskey, rather than in American oak. Bottled at 57.1% ABV without cold filtering. Colour: Deep amber Fragrance: Intense and powerful. Initially the deep and wild force of Corryvreckan draws full attention. Tar and linseed oil merge with waxy dark chocolate, hot blackcurrant, dark sugar and pine needles. Water salty seasoning bring the character of spicy seaweed and smoked bacon, balanced by a hint of vanilla, cloves and blueberries. It ends with an explosion of menthol, treacle and chilli. Taste: Deep and intense flavors and textures. Peppered meat, crispy seaweed and black tarry espresso rapid succession. Melted dark fruits and bitter almonds cover the palate after surprising violets come forward. Finish: Long, deep and lasting strong finish with black tarry coffee, chocolate-covered cherries and hot pepper sauce.
