Schloss Reinhartshausen 2022 Marcobrunn Riesling Grand Cru dry | The Wine Barn (1x75cl)
This dry Riesling Grand Cru offers hints of the Marcobrunn vineyard's unique terroir, with hints of roasted hazelnuts and crème brûlée. It is a wine with great ageing potential, developing over many years to come. The Grand Cru site where the grapes that produce this Riesling are grown is amongst the best in the world. For the cellar masters of Schloss Reinhartshausen, it is both an honour and a pleasure to be able to accompany this benchmark site. The Marcobrunn is a slightly sloping south-facing site within the boundaries of Erbach. Its name dates back to the 13th century and stems from a spring on the border between Erbach and Hattenheim. The vineyard area, which is only 6.7ha, grows Riesling grapes. Heavy loess loam and chalky marl soil with sand ensures a prefect nutrient supply and regulates the water levels during the dry periods. The grapes for the Marcobrunn are gently presses by horizontal wooden presses, which involves intense manual labour. Drinking temperature: 12°C Alcohol: 12,50% vol.
