PRACTICES: Organic Certified - Sustainable Wines TASTING NOTES Gras Moutons is a Muscadet Sèvre et Maine "sur lie" with a very powerful, generous body and extravagant flavours. The finish, with its lovely ripe bitters and hints of praline, is particularly promising. PRODUCER PROFILE Domaine Haute Févrie is a family-run winery in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation, near Nantes. Now managed by fourth-generation Sébastien Branger, they are known for their terroir-driven Muscadets. With a focus on organic viticulture and traditional methods, they produce complex and elegant wines, often from old vines that are a benchmark for the region. PRACTICES VINEYARD & VINIFICATION Domaine Haute Févrie is certified organic, focusing on sustainable viticulture and hand-harvesting from old vines. In the cellar, they use indigenous yeasts for fermentation. Their Muscadet is aged sur lie in underground concrete vats, a traditional method that adds complexity, texture, and a distinctive mineral salinity to the final wine, highlighting the unique terroir.
