This robust and energy efficient 3-way (L-bore) electrical PVC ball valve from Tameson can be used for flow control with contaminated water or corrosive media, such as chloride solutions (seawater or swimming pools). The valve has G 2-1/2 inch female threaded ports. This is BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel). The valve body and the ball are made of PVC-U. The sealings are made of PTFE/EPDM. The valve has a 50 mm bore, with Kv value of 47 m3/h (Cv = 54.33 gpm). Kv expresses the flow rate of water in m3/h at a pressure drop of one bar. The valve can handle pressure of up to 10 bar at 20°C (145 psi at 68°F). It is suitable for temperatures from 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F).The actuator can be used with alternating current (50/60Hz) from 100 volt up to 240 volt. The actuator draws 0.1A nominal, and 0.2A at maximal torque. The actuator has a robust aluminium housing (IP67, provided that an appropriate cable is connected) and delivers maximally 40 Nm torque.
