With a commitment to making exceptional wines from its terroir, Greystone has managed its 33-hectare vineyard organically since 2014. The winery and its winemaker, Dom Maxwell, have earned numerous accolades, including twice winning Decanter trophies for Best Pinot Noir and being ranked the Top New Zealand Chardonnay in 2018. Greystone was also named Raymond Chans 2018 Winery of the Year, and Dom Maxwell was named 2018 New Zealand Winemaker of the Year by Gourmet Traveller Wine. Golden in colour, this Chardonnay opens up in the glass to reveal stone fruit, citrus, and subtle oak flavours, with a minerality that underscores the limestone soils. Decanter Magazine - 92 points.
