De boom heeft kleine, naaldachtige blaadjes en wordt tot 15 meter hoog. Niaouli-olie wordt verkregen door stoomdestillatie van de bladeren en takken van de boom. De blaadjes van de niaouliboom ruiken erg sterk. Muggen houden niet van deze geur en blijven daarom liever uit de buurt van deze boom.Physalis Niaouli Olie Bio is 100% puur en heeft een sterke, unieke geur.
